Are PopUps Actually Helping You?

You need to look something up so you type your topic into Google. You choose one of the websites chosen for you by Google and visit its link. Then you receive an ill-fated surprise once the page loads. Instead of finding the page that is designed to have the content you need, you are forced to cope with a pop up. This pop up banner is an advertising campaign and no matter how many times you try and shut it down, it won’t close-unless you type in your e-mail address. Finally you just close your browser completely because you are so frustrated. That website owner’s techniques haven’t gotten the best of you!

There is a good rationale that a lot of people loathe pop ups. They are bothersome. They intrude on what you happen to be attempting to do. When they play music or other sounds on auto-pilot they get you in trouble at your workplace or with the people in your family who are also in the room. They make insane claims. They need your personal data if you’d like them to go away. Some even place malware and cookies inside your computer systems. There aren’t a whole bunch of folks who actually like to be confronted by these annoying things but so many IMers insist on using them. How come?

The real truth is that IMers employ pop up ads because they get the job done. They have the focus of the audience. They support marketers produce e-mail marketing lists. It has been proven many times that you will definitely not get as good a result with a voluntary opt-in box on your sidebar or even into the primary content of your site as you do with a pop up. They have sometimes been known to help produce sales. Unfortunately, these stupid web pests actually get the job done and, until another person thinks of something better, most IMers are going to keep using them.

Of course it does not mean that those very same IMers should keep using them. What kind of worth can there be to an e-mail address that is exclusively given under duress? Usually what goes on is the person just opts back out of your list as soon as they acquire the first e-mail from you or your company. How good can visitors be when the majority of it clicks away because it is genuinely offended by your ad? Sure you need to make money, but is this actually the best way? Can’t there be an additional option available to people who want to create e-mail lists and sell products?

The simple fact is simply this: if you have a good product, you aren’t going to need a pop up if you can present that product well. Concentrate on setting up a very high quality product so that you don’t have to count on irritating pop up ads to do the job for you. Compose a persuasive sales page or splash page. Make your subject material and copy so effective that it is able to grab your reader’s attention so hard that it never has to let go. Here’s the truth: Internet Marketers only get success and money online if the product that has been created is actually valuable. No pop up banner ad could be substituted to cover up the lack of value in a product.
