- Festival of Trees donates nearly $19K to music hall
METHUEN — Festival of Trees awarded a matching grant of $18,750 to Methuen Memorial Music Hall to help pay for preservation of the building. The building had water damage to the interior wall of the east transept, according to a press release.

- Festival of Iowa Beers is Sunday
The Millstream Brewery in Amana will host the sixth annual Festival of Iowa Beers from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday. The festival will feature samplings from 15 Iowa breweries and eight Iowa home brew clubs as well as a cooking with beer demonstration and live music by Nick Stika.
