Video 1 - Lighting the Memorial Flame - 24/4/2009.
Gympie RSL President Ivan Friske invites David Gibson MP and Ron Dyne Mayor of Gympie Regional Council to light the Memorial Flame. The ceremony was well attended and was followed by a Book Presentation to schools in the region by the Gympie RSL (Note: the ceremony would have been be better if the test lighting of the flame was carried out at a different time instead of just prior to the event and if traffic control was available to prevent cars driving along Reef Street at this time).
