Many people have a very difficult time losing fat simply because they just don’t know the fat loss rules and guidelines. They sometimes believe that just because they’re reducing their intake of sweets and by eating more “fat-free” foods and treats, they’ve already earned a soem bonus points in a weight reduction plan. Not so - the truth is that eating low fat foods doesn’t necessarily equeste to weight loss. You can’t hope to lose weight simply by embarking on low fat diets and other fads. The more you consider this, the better you realise that advertisers have been pushing low fat foods onto the market that is hungry for easy answers to the weight loss puzzle. Yet, statistics show that the general population is becoming more obese every year. In the light of these statistics, surely people must begin to realise that low fat diets and diet fads just don’t provide easy permanent weight loss.
Then, some people believe that low calorie diets are the way to weight loss and health and fitness. Not so as you won’t lose weight using calorie counting methods alone either. Low calorie diets only add stress to your body and forcing your metabolism to slow down just to cope with the smaller amount of food you are ingesting. You are telling your fat burning engine to slow down and in the long run, you’re wasting the chance of obrtaining the fitness level and weight that you desire for optimum health. Sure, it is possible to lose weight for the first few weeks or so, but when you reach a certain point your weight will plateau and you will see that you have hit your weight loss limit. You will most likely be far from your desired weight goal and be totally frustrated. Don’t accept that you have to be overweight for the rest of your life.
