More on Christmas light displays in Gympie and Cooloola. We are sponsoring the website for www.currachristmas.com.au to promote the Christmas Light display created by Damien and Tammy Kerle at Curra with donations being accepted for Little Haven Palliative Care in Gympie. This is a fantastic display but it is located a 10 to 15 minute drive away from Gympie at Curra - well worth the drive.
Another display that is well worth visiting has been created by Robyn and Henry Holley at 93 Cedar Pocket Road (off Tin Can Bay Road).
It is likely that these displays won’t be listed on the Chrsitmas Light display maps in the local paper and are probably outside the bus tour routes, so to visit them you will need to take a short drive. Note: the directions to Curra Christams are available on a map at www.currachristmas.com.au
One of Queenslands largest animated Christmas Light displays has been turned on at Curra. With more than 70,000 hand-made and painted bulbs in computer controlled animated sequences, static silhouettes and other displays, this will be a phenomonal Christmas Light show. The light display features a 40 foot (12 metre) high huge Christmas tree and church light show.
Curra Christmas supports Little Haven Palliative Care in Gympie and vistors to the display may give a donation to this most worthwhile organisation.
