7 years after leaving Cooloola Shire Council, I have decided to finally publish the story behind my resignation as Senior Environmental Health Officer and run a campaign against him at www.mickstimesup.com.

Observing Mick’s antics in recent times brings back disappointing memories and I am now more conviced than ever that the communities forming the new Gympie Regional Council need a Mayor who has respect for professional staff, Local Government legislation and the ratepayers.

My story is probably only one of many sad cases where sacrifices have been made to uphold principles and professional intergrity. In publishing the Mick’s Times Up website, I hope to provide an opportunity for others to write their own stories although I know how difficult it is when faced with the intimidatory tactics employed by Mick. I don’t really know what to expect yet but I am sure that I will see some repercussions for daring to speak against Mick.
