The Gympie Goldrush Festival kicked off yesterday with a garden party and continues today (Sunday 15th) with the following events:

• Gympie Mining Museum Markets/CHATinc. Markets at the Duckponds (all day).
• Ecumenical Church Service, Civic Centre, Gympie at 6.30pm

The Festival runs through to Saturday 21st culminating in the Wide Bay Australia Festival in the Park which includes the Empire Poet’s Roundup, Qld Gold Panning Championships, markets, entertainment, the Cornett’s IGA Twilight Parade at 5.30pm and the Echelon/Harcourts Fireworks Display at 8.15 pm.
