We have been advised that the Gympie Bow Hunters Association are to host the Central Queensland championships at the Imbil grounds on the weekend of September 15-16. The Association Executive has called for members to attend a working bee on September 9 to prepare the Barsby Road site for the upcoming event, which is expected to attract 100 shooters and their families.

Club President Russel Carlson said the club held a shoot at the weekend, with the following results:

Carl Green 604, Jenny Carlson 720, Michael Chippendall 170 (did not finish), Michael Rayner 188 (did not finish), Paul Sproxton 630, Ted Kettle 698, Glenn Carlson 380 (did not finish), Dylan Sproxton 614 (did not finish), Addison Sandy 748, Thomas Wade 692, Brad Schultz 286.
